Tips and Activities

Rochester and Elmore District Health Service (REDHS) has an unwavering commitment to support the mental health and wellbeing of its staff and volunteers. When the coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions came into place, the health service made a public commitment to implement a range of activities for staff to not only provide distraction and relief from the pressures of living and working in a coronavirus (COVID-19) environment, but also by generating opportunities for staff to continue to be part of group activities whilst still complying with workplace restrictions. Such activities have included:

  • a Beach Day where staff could dress for the beach
  • scheduled morning tea where a healthy morning tea is delivered across the site
  • a “Who is that Baby” competition where staff were invited to put names to a list of staff baby photos
  • sport Colour Day where staff were able to wear the colours of their favourite sporting team with pride
  • find the Prize where a prize is randomly hidden across the health service waiting to be found and won.
